Roger Priest, Personal Injury Attorney

Roger Priest received his law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2008 and originally hails from Asheville, North Carolina. He earned a B.A. from the University of North Carolina in 2004 before going on to law school.

He is licensed in both Washington and Oregon. Before starting his own practice, Roger worked as both a prosecutor and a public defender, handling thousands of cases including DUI charges, domestic violence, drug charges, and serious violent felonies over roughly a decade of government criminal justice work. He has tried nearly one hundred jury trials.

Roger is also the son of a Cuban immigrant and speaks Spanish, which allows him to serve Washington's Hispanic community directly.

Areas of Focus

Roger represents injured people across a wide range of personal injury matters, including car accidents, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, brain injury, construction accidents, premises liability, and wrongful death claims, along with dog and animal bite cases.

Courtroom Experience

Roger has spent nearly a decade in the courtroom, trying close to one hundred jury trials during his time as both a prosecutor and a public defender before moving into private practice. That experience gives him a direct, firsthand understanding of how a case looks from every side of the table, including how the opposing party and their insurer prepare to defend a claim.

That background also includes extensive experience with driving under the influence cases specifically. Roger is known for his strong courtroom skills and strategic defense when it comes to DUI matters, giving him a detailed understanding of how DUI evidence, from field sobriety tests to blood alcohol results, actually holds up in front of a court. That insight becomes especially valuable in drunk driving injury cases, where knowing how that evidence gets challenged can make a real difference in the outcome of a civil claim.
